Crazy Life

This is going to be the last post until after April 23. I am super crazy busy with papers and such. I have no idea how I will get it all done, but I know I have to. Next week is my last week of classes--yeah! Anyway, here is the story.

Jacie loves to be outside. I try to let he be out there a little bit every day (since its gotten warm enough), and today I took her out with her Little Peoples school bus thing that you can push or ride. She goes charging down the driveway, like she is running. I turn her on to the sidewalk and she pushes it all the way down to the end, and then we turn around and she goes back. Sometimes she stops to look at a leaf that is blowing, or some sticks on the ground. Its relaxing for me because it helps me clear my very full head. It's fun for her because she has my complete undivided attention for an hour or so. Well, today she was pushing along and a man came by on a bicycle. Her little hand goes up, she begins to point and talk in a language that only she understands. She was so excited! Her face was full of wonder and new discovery. She watched him all the way, and as he passed us, she turned around to watch. Once he got out of eye site, she dropped to her knees and began to crawl after him! I picked her up, put her back at her toy and said "Lets go". She hesitated for a second, then dropped again and took off again--this time faster than before. She was determined to get that bicycle guy! She did it a third time, and then I picked her up and took her inside. Funny thing is that she hates to be on the cement. She doesn't like the feel of it on her hands. Crazy kid, but I love her.

Oh, and she is super close to walking. She will stand unassisted, and even took a couple of steps, though not at the same time. We have her walk everywhere she goes. If she is in the kitchen and needs to be redirected to her toys, we stand her up and hold her hand as she walks to her toys. Fun stuff!

Ah yes. The end of the semester grind. By the way, if anyone sees my husband, tell him hi for me. That's how busy he is with the end of the semester.

Good luck with all of your final papers!!!

Hi! I found your blog from Pam's blog and I wanted to say hi. Your daughter is adorable! We have a daughter that just turned one in January so we are going through a lot of the same stuff. I had to laugh when you told about the 1 year Dr. apt. Our little Hannah was only 18 lbs at 1 year (12th percentile in hight and weight), ugh, so we have had her rear facing until recently. Now when she gets in the car she just giggles the whole time in her car seat, I think that she loves the view! Anyway, it looks like you guys are doing great! Take care. Tami
