Setting the routine

Now that I have been home for a couple of days without running out to school, we have been able to establish a routine...well, sort of. Really, Jacie has been teaching me a thing or two about what babies want. Babies want food--and lots of it. Babies want sleep, and they don't like to be disturbed. Oh, and babies like to poop--especilly when Daddy is coming home (at least that is waht Ryan thinks).

I have been working on getting her out of our room and into her own. After all, she has her own bed in a nice room with lots of pretty things to look at. In our room, all she gets is a bed and a really loud noise all night long (snores form the Papa Bear). We have tried it during the day, and the first day was pretty unsuccessful. The next day was better, and last night, she slept in her own bed all night--for 6 1/2 hours straight!! Once she woke up, she wanted one thing. You guessed it-food. Then back to bed for another three hours. Then more food, and another nap. Thing is, if you let her wake up on her own, she is happy as a clam, even smiles when she sees the food coming. But if you wake her up too soon, look out! Here are some of her more precious moments while she sleeps.
I was trying to get her to pose for Aunt Sher. However, she makes the rules and was not up for posing. Cute outfit, though!

You will rarely see the binky in her mouth, unless she is super tired or super hungry, neither of which we like to have happen.

Here she is with her bud, the monkey!

This is my favorite sleeper shot. I call her my Empanada.

Baby J

Since she is the reason for the blog site, and the joy of my day, here are more of her terrific 1 month pictures. Of course, we think she is the cutest baby ever!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Leonard Family Blog site, created specifically for the little fireball Jacie! We still feel blessed and fortunate to have her in our family, even when she can't figure out the night and day thing, the sleeping in the crib thing, and the smile at Daddy too, thing. Kids...gotta love 'em!
